Macromedia Flash Player Settings :

  • Settings Right click in the camera window area and choose 'Settings' to bring up the Macromedia Flash Settings Manager. Here you will find 4 tabs each listed by an image icon. Display Privacy, File Storage, Microphone and Camera.

  • Display Privacy SeeMePlayMe needs to have access to the camera and/or microphone available on your computer in order for others to view/listen to you. Privacy settings let you specify whether you want SeeMePlayMe to have such access.

  • File Storage SeeMePlayMe needs to store some information on your computer, but the amount stored is limited to 100 kilobytes unless you agree to allocate additional space. Local storage settings let you specify how much disk space, if any, SeeMePlayMe can use to store information on your computer.

    • Microphone Microphone settings allow you to select a microphone, adjust its sensitivity, and reduce the echo that may be coming from your speakers. SeeMePlayMe automatically detects any default microphone or other audio recorder on your computer, and sets microphone sensitivity to a medium value. You can choose to use a different microphone, adjust microphone sensitivity, and reduce echo. The settings you select here apply immediately to the active Flash movie. To change the default microphone, choose another microphone from the pop-up menu. To test your microphone, speak in a normal tone of voice and watch the indicator on the left. When the indicator shows yellow, your microphone is sensitive enough for the Flash Player to pick up sound. To increase or decrease your microphone's sensitivity, move the slider to the right or the left, respectively. If you are using speakers instead of headphones, select Reduce Echo. Reducing echo has the effect of reducing the noise coming from your microphone through your speakers.

    • Camera SeeMePlayMe automatically detects any video cameras on your computer and displays the name of the default camera it will use. If you do not select another camera from the pop-up menu, SeeMePlayMe uses the default camera. To see a live display of the image being detected by the default camera, click the video preview area. If you select another video camera from the pop-up menu, SeeMePlayMe uses the camera you selected.
